Merry Christmas Tree
Happy Holidays one and all, Mindy with you today sharing a card for the upcoming holidays.
I started with a piece of white card stock cut to an A2 size 5.5" X 8.50". I scored it at 4.25 inches and placed the New Grand Merry Christmas Script die from Memory Box with the card line on the score line. I then ran the white card stock with the die through my Cuttlebug machine, cutting out the phrase when the card is folded shut. I then cut a red stock liner and used double stick tape to tape it inside the card.
Then using branches of fir and pine from the Foliage die set by Spellbinders, I created a tree shape down the right hand side of the card, alternating fir branches with some pine branches, and even a pine cone or two. This die set has more dies than those pictured on the web site, but it is a very popular set with many great leaves and branches. I chalked and inked some of the branches and the pine cones to give them more depth and dimension before gluing them to the card base. I also used the Paper Blossom Tool Kit to emboss and shape the branches and sprigs.
To complete the card, I cut the Large Bow die from Impression Obsession and glued it to the top of the tree. Snow or sprinkles could then be added to your card if you wish.
I also wanted to mention that there are many NEW items available in the Classy Cards 'n Such Online store. As you shop, keep in mind the themes for the upcoming card challenges on the Classy Card's blog.
