Beautiful Day Roses

I have a card to share with you today that is made with lots of my favorite flowers; the Rose.
Mindy with a card for you featuring two of Heartfelt Creations floral stamp sets, Botanical Rose and Classic Bella Rose PreCut set.

After stamping all of the flowers and flower parts on white card stock, I began coloring them with my Copic markers and some Distressed Ink around the edges.  I then die cut the Botanical Rose pieces with the Botanical Wings die by Heartfelt Creations, and fussy cut the Classic Roses.  I then searched my printed paper stash, and found a beautiful rose print in the Romance 6x6 Paper bloc from Joy!crafts and mounted it to my card base.

After adhering all my pieces, flowers and leaves I added a touch of bling with Sleek Strips Pearls- LeCreme from Want2Scrap and Pink Rock Candy from Queen and Co. My sentiment is from the Birds and Roses stamp set from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps.

Have a Beautiful Day stamping and making cards for our weekly challenges at Classy Cards n' Such.

Pearls of Wisdom

Welcome to the weekly challenge #77, Fancy Pearls, at Classy Cards n' Such blog. Mindy's Pearls of Wisdom for today is "Dare to be Remarkable!"

My train of thought started with the beautiful off white pearl Stardream Hera Metallic paper sold in the Classy Cards n' Such online store. I also found a sheet of printed paper from the Romance paper pad by Joy!crafts that matched the pearl colors I wanted to use.  I cut the Rectangles 6-in-1 Frame die from Impression Obsession and used several sizes to frame the sentiment, Dare to be remarkable. Of course, I used three sizes of White Pearls from Want2Scrap to accentuate the sentiment frame, and even added a few colored ones.

On another piece of metallic paper, I stamped the Botanical Wings flowers and leaves, then die cut with the matching Botanical Wings die set, both from Heartfelt Creations. I shaped and formed the petals with my Susan's Garden Tool Kit from Sizzix, then adhered them to the card with Dries Clear Adhesive from the Art Institute.

I hope you have enjoyed visiting with us today, and that you will be inspired to create a card to submit in our challenge.

Hello

Welcome friends to the Classy Cards n' Such blog, Mindy here, with a special card that was very easy to create.  I started by collecting some of the beautiful papers carried in the Classy Cards n' Such Online Store. I chose Amethyst Stardream MetallicCryogen White, and Stardream Punch Metallic paper. Using the white metallic for a background, I die cut a rectangle using the stitched rectangle from the Blueprints 13 Die-namics from My Favorite Things. I then ran it through my embossing machine using the Dots Embossing Folder from Crafts Too!

Then using the Decorative Labels Twenty-seven dies by Spellbinders, and cut each layer with a different color of the metallic papers. I popped up the largest die with Joy! Foam Pads- Large and then the next to smallest to make them stand out.  I added the phrase Hello cut from the Greeting Set by Impression Obsession and tied two strips of ribbon from my stash to match the colors in the card. I mounted the entire unit to an Amethyst card base to complete my card.

Thank you for visiting with us today, I hope you enjoyed this card.

Spring Green

Spring is just about here, so shake a leg!  Our challenge this week at Classy Cards n' Such is Going Green, and our challenge is to use various shades of green along with naturals on your card or project.  Mindy here, and I will be sharing my scenic card, which contains lots of green!

I started with a background of A2 Devine Eleoquence from Spellbinders, and added it to a background of white card stock with Joy! Foam Pads- Large. I then die cut the Woodland Tree Silhouette  from Memory Box and two sets of the Tiny Tulips, also from Memory Box. The next dies were from Impression Obsession; Kite SetLarge Fence, and  Grass Border. I also had one of the Heart Flourish cut in green laying on my desk, so I trimmed off some of the flourish for decorating the fence and kite.

My kites always ended up tangled in a tree, so I attached the die cut to a tree limb and added a small bird flying around it. I added a small banner with the sentiment along with the grass border and tulips, and my card was complete. I hope you enjoyed this card, and look forward to Spring as much as I do.

Great JOY

Mindy visiting with you, sharing a card using one of my favorite stamps, Flowers in Bloom by Sweet and Sassy Stamps. I love to stamp it then color in with various medium, this time using watercolor on watercolor paper.  I even shaded around the image with watercolor to give it a little dimension. I backed the watercolor paper with a silver print from the Lake House Pad from Kaisercraft.

I also stamped one of the tiny bird stamps from the Birds and Blooms stamp set from Heartfelt Creations and water-colored it also. After adhering the background to the card base, I attached the image with Joy! Foam Pads- Large and added a tiny bow and little bird.  Then using Sleek Silver Rhinestone Strips from Want2scrap, added a little bling in the corners along with outlining the daisy images and the corner flourishes with a Gelly Roll Stardust Clear pen by Sakura.

Have a happy stamping day, and join us for our Weekly Challenge.

Butterflies OTE

Today's challenge card assignment at Classy Cards n' Such blog is to use a die or punch on the edge of your card.  Mindy here, with my card, Butterflies On the Edge.

I started my card by stamping a background stamp on a light green stock.  I then die cut the Butterfly Delights die from Memory Box along the edge and adhered to the front of my card base so the dark green shows through. I also shaded around the background with Distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy.

If you would like to order this die, be sure to email:  beverly@classycardsnsuch.com, and she will pre-order it for you!

I then stamped the Botanical Rose stamp by Heartfelt Creations and die cut it with the Botanical Wings die, also by Heartfelt Creations. I colored the flowers and leaves with Distress Ink and assembled them with my Susan's Garden Tool Kit, shaping each petal to give the flowers more depth.
I also cut two of the Open Scroll Leaf from Impression Obsession to go behind the flower blossoms.

To add a little embellishment, I added some of the tiny "innies" of the butterflies in the cut-out spaces and a few to the leaves of the flower, along with a few Sleek Strips Pearls- LeCreme from Want2Scrap.

I hope you will enter our challenge for this week, On the Edge. I can't wait to see what you create.

Basket of Wishes

I am joining you with a card that would be perfect for reminding a friend you are thinking of them today. Mindy with you, sharing this card, created from the beautiful stamp set Floral Basket by JustRight. I stamped the basket of flowers on white stock, and then colored it in with Distress Ink Markers from Tim Holtz.  I then die cut the image with the stitched background from the Blueprints 13 by Die-namics from My Favorite Things.  I love the delicate impression of stitching that this die leaves on the card.

I then added depth and dimension with the single flower, butterfly, and sentiment from the Floral Basket stamp set.  After fussy cutting the small elements and coloring them, I attached them with Joy! Foam Pads- small, and added Amber Rhinestones to give the card a little bling! I love using these cards of bling because there are several sizes of stones, all one one card, so you have plenty to choose from.

This card was so much fun to color, and the dimension really is attractive.  So order the supplies from the Classy Cards n' Such Online Store and make some for yourself.

Birthday Banner

The challenge this week at Classy Cards n' Such blog is to Be Inspired by the chosen photo. The pictured quilt has various vehicles, palm trees, and banners. The banners spoke to me, and inspired me to create a card with banners celebrating a birthday. Mindy with you today to share my creation.

Using my favorite turquoise card stock as a background, I die cut the largest stitched rectangle from the Blueprints 13 Die-namics from My Favorite Things. I also cut four banners using the Pennant Swag from Our Daily Bread Designs.  After trimming off the tiny bows on each end, and putting them aside I shaded the banners and around the edge of the rectangle base with Distress Ink-
Tumbled Glass and Orange Marmalade. After placing them in a pleasing design, I adhered them to the background with Joy! Foam Pads-Small and 1/4" Scor-Tape.

To embellish the card, I stamped the letters for Happy Birthday from a small alphabet stamp set from my stash, and attached the bows that I trimmed off before. I also added a few sequins, along with Red Rhinestones from Want2Scrap sprinkled around. I completed the front with the sentiment from Flowers in Bloom from Sweet n' Sassy stamps.

Have a wonderful day stamping, and join us for our challenge.
